Shenzhen Tolwerk Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (“Tolwerk”, “we”, “us”) supplies precision machined and fabricated parts. This policy explains what personal data we collect through tolwerk.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to visitors, customers and prospective customers.
1. Data we collect
Information you provide. When you request a quotation or contact us, you may give us your name, company, email address, telephone number, country, project requirements (process, material, quantity, tolerances, finish, lead time), message content and any files you upload, typically CAD models and drawings.
Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server data for every request, including IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. This is used to operate the site securely and to prevent abuse.
Analytics information. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, referral source). If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics cookies are set and we do not record analytics data about your visit.
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and the site is not directed at children under 16.

- Contract and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) for quotations, orders and delivery.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for securing the website, preventing abuse and improving our services.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for records we must keep.
4. Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, acting on our instructions:

Uploaded drawings and quotation records are stored in private, access-controlled storage and are not publicly reachable.

We are based in China. Our providers may process data in the United States, the European Union and other regions. Where personal data leaves the EEA or the UK, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
- Enquiries and quotations that do not become orders: up to 24 months, so we can pick up a project later if you return.
- Uploaded engineering files: kept with the enquiry for the same period, and deleted earlier on request.
- Customer and transaction records: as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Analytics data: according to the retention setting of our Google Analytics property (currently 14 months).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to receive it in a portable format, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

9. Security
All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Uploaded files are stored in private storage with access restricted to staff who need them to prepare your quotation. Access to internal systems is limited and reviewed.
